A Very Wet Tuesday For Mid Michigan
Tuesday was damp and misty all day. There was an additional 0.06″ in my gauge this morning, and although the rain has finally stopped, it is still damp and not a pleasant morning to be sure. Our temperatures will be very warm with highs expected near 80°F. This warm-up is expected to last for a few days although it won’t be dry. Rain is in the forecast almost everyday, and not much sun is expected. Our lawn is about 4 inches long and it is just too wet to mow. Right now it doesn’t look like we will have a very nice October. The tropical storm which is over the southwestern states will be over us this weekend, and another significant amount of rain is expected again.
Our 10:15 AM temperature is 59°F (16°C), the humidity is 99% and skies are overcast. The dew point is 60°F (16°C) and the pressure is 30.03 in and falling. Visibility is 5 miles. Winds are from the SE at 8 mph. Yesterday’s high was 63°F (17°C) and the overnight low was 55°F (13°C). Sunrise was at 7:35 AM and sunset will be at 7:14 PM. The record high for Oct. 2 is 87°F set in 1971, and the record low is 27°F set in 1974. Averages for this date are 66°F / 46°F.
