Snow Once Again In Mid Michigan

Snow Once Again In Mid Michigan

We had rain most of yesterday, but by late afternoon, it was changing to snow.  We now have a quarter of an inch on the ground and 0.36″ of total precip for the day.  Yes, it looks like winter once again.  On the positive side, highs tomorrow are expected to reach the upper 40s so this snow should be short lived.  I’m also noticing that the grass is starting to green up and the birds have been very vocal.  It’s…

Rain And Snow for Our Final March Weekend – Mid Michigan

Rain And Snow for Our Final March Weekend – Mid Michigan

So far, our weather has been quite normal for this time of year.  Highs have been  a bit above normal and no one is complaining about that.  We are returning to winter this weekend however.  We aren’t expecting a lot of snow, maybe up to an inch, but it is not welcome this late in March.  Rain began overnight and there was 0.45″ in my gauge this morning.  Light rain has continued since then and this should be the order…

Very Warm Temperatures For Mid Michigan

Very Warm Temperatures For Mid Michigan

We should see highs near 60°F today and not much rain in the forecast.  There is a little sun shining through right now and it looks to be quite a nice day.  Our normal weather is becoming more of a constant although snow is in the forecast for this weekend.  Hopefully, this will be the last time. Our 9:30 AM temp is 50°F (10°C), the humidity is 68% and skies are mostly cloudy.  Winds are from the SW at 12…

Sunny But Very Cool in Mid Michigan

Sunny But Very Cool in Mid Michigan

At least we have clear skies but it isn’t nearly as warm outside as it looks.  You can really feel the heat from the sun now streaming though the windows and I’ve noticed that the furnace does run as much on sunny days.  I guess that we can’t really expect much more than that in late March.  It’s hard to believe that this month is almost over. Our 1 PM temperature is 38°F (3°C), the humidity is 36%, and winds…

Warmer Temps But More Rain For Our Sunday – Mid Michigan

Warmer Temps But More Rain For Our Sunday – Mid Michigan

Why does it always have to rain when we get a nice, warm day?  At least it’s suppose to hold off until later this afternoon or tonight.  We’re waiting for a dry period to get the truck washed but it just isn’t happening.  It looks like we will have some real spring temperatures the latter part of this upcoming week with highs nearing 60°F.  I just hope that it doesn’t bring more tornadoes like the last time we hit 60°F. …

A Beautiful Day On Tap For Mid Michigan

A Beautiful Day On Tap For Mid Michigan

This morning is starting out with plenty of sun but very chilly.  Highs should reach to near normal, and with the sun and light winds, it should be a great day to be outdoors.  Not sure yet if I’ll take advantage of it yet.  I’ll see what happens later. Our 9:45 AM temperature is 29°F (-2°), the humidity is 71%, and skies are clear.  The pressure is 30.29 in (1025.7 mb) and rising.  Winds are from the NW at 3…

A Return To Winter – Mid Michigan

A Return To Winter – Mid Michigan

We woke this morning to a trace of snow on our deck, and another brief snow shower came shortly after.  Now the sun is out.  Talk about bipolar weather!  I doubt that out temps today will make it out of the 30s but at least this cold spell will be short lived.  Sunday sounds like it will be the pick day of our week unless that changes.  That’s been happening a lot lately. Right now (9:45 AM) our temp is…

Damp, Foggy Weather For Our Thursday

Damp, Foggy Weather For Our Thursday

Yesterday began with dry, sun-filtered weather but it wasn’t long before the clouds moved in and we had rain, even mixed with snow at times, the remainder of our day.  We weren’t supposed to get that much rain but there was 0.42″ in my gauge.  This morning is damp, cool and foggy.  I don’t think that we will see much sun if any today.  Temperatures will remain steady.  This was supposed to be our dry week and of course, Mother…

A Partly Sunny Beginning To Our Wednesday – Mid Michigan

A Partly Sunny Beginning To Our Wednesday – Mid Michigan

This morning has been dry but there is rain on the way for this afternoon.  We could get up to quarter of an inch, so there goes our dry week which was forecasted.  Oh well, at least it’s rain and not snow.  Our truck needs a bath so bad and it just won’t stop raining.  The road nicely dries up and then more rain.  At least our temperatures are remaining at an average level for a change. Our 10:45 AM…

A Period of Nice, Quiet Weather Expected This Upcoming Week in Mid Michigan

A Period of Nice, Quiet Weather Expected This Upcoming Week in Mid Michigan

Our temperatures are expected to moderate over the next few days with normal to above normal highs by the weekend.  We really aren’t expecting much in the way of precipitation either, so that’s a good thing.  April is just around the corner and I’m hoping that it’s more seasonable that it was last year.  I think that most are tired of this bi-polar weather. Our 9:15 AM temperature is 29°F (-2°C), the humidity is 92% and the pressure is 30.31…
