Feels Almost Like Fall . . . . .

It’s cold and windy today with not much sun.  We had rain half of the day on Wednesday but we only received about quarter of an inch.  Areas north of us got a lot more.  High temps are expected to remain in the 70s for the next five days. Our 1:30 PM temp is 66°F, the humidity is 73%, and winds are from the WNW at 6-16 mph, and the pressure is 29.53 in and rising.  The dew point is…

Storms Developing Tonight . . . .

Storms Developing Tonight . . . .

After a quiet morning, storms are now moving through lower Michigan.  So far, all we have had are light sprinkles but radar is showing much more coming our way.  Most has remained north of us but we have had some close thunder.  There is the slight chance that some of these storms could be severe, and there has been some warnings issued but no reports of any damage at this time. Our 7 PM temperature  is 63°F, the humidity…

Sunny And Cool . . . .

Sunny And Cool . . . .

Today is cool but very sunny.  It is breezy but comfortable if you wear a sweater.  I get cold easily, so I’d need one anyway.  We had rain early yesterday which had pretty much ended by late afternoon.  No rain in the forecast again until tomorrow afternoon. Our 1:15 PM temperature is 68°F, the humidity is 45% and winds are from the west at 2-9 mph, and the pressure is 29.81 in and falling.  The dew point is 46°F and…

Partly Rainy Sunday . . . .

Partly Rainy Sunday . . . .

We were spared from the severe weather that affected neighbors to our south, who were once again victims of tornadoes and strong storms.  It seems to be a weekly occurrence for these states.  This morning began with rain, but now we have mostly cloudy skies with a peek of the sun once and awhile.  The radar looks like most of it is now to our east.  More is expected to develop this afternoon.  At least the hot, humid weather is…

Much Cooler After The Storms . . . .

Much Cooler After The Storms . . . .

Yesterday evening brought the threat of severe storms and tornadoes.  We did have a thunderstorm but nothing close to severe.  There were several tornado warnings issued but I haven’t heard of any touching down or damage so far.  We were under a tornado watch most of the evening but we were lucky once again.  Today has more comfortable temperatures. Our 4 PM temperature is  75°F, the humidity is 46%, and winds are from the WSW at 3-14 mph.  Skies are…

Another Day Of Possible Severe Storms . . . . .

Another Day Of Possible Severe Storms . . . . .

We have a chance for severe weather today and tomorrow.  Yesterday brought a few localized strong storms and two tornadoes.  Thankfully, they were weak and didn’t do much damage.  They were about 20-30 miles north of us.  Our Michigan Storm Chasers are on high alert, both today and tomorrow.  They do a great job and sometimes get the warnings out before NOAA.  Right now we have partly to mostly cloudy skies and no sign of storms at this time.  Even…

Possibly, A Stormy Week . . . .

Possibly, A Stormy Week . . . .

We were warned that this could be a week with severe weather possible almost every day.  Today wasn’t supposed to be one, but we have already had a few tornado warnings, but not for my area.  Hopefully, it will stay that way.  We have had off and on showers all morning, with about quarter of an inch of rain so far.  Once and awhile the sun pops out which adds to the instability in the air. Our 2 PM temperature…

Pleasant Weather Continues . . . . .

Our lovely weather continues with no big changes anytime soon.  I really don’t have much more to say than that. Our 7:15 PM temperature is 79°F, the humidity is 43%, and winds are from the NE at 2-5 mph.  The pressure is 29.91 in and falling.  Skies are partly cloudy with just a thin cloud cover.  The dew point is 54°F and visibility is 14 miles.  Yesterday’s high was 82°F and the overnight low was 54°F.  Average temps for this…

Finally, Some Much Needed Rain . . . .

Finally, Some Much Needed Rain . . . .

We received over an inch of rain late yesterday.  I’m sure that made the farmers happy.  Much of the state had drought conditions and this certainly helped a lot.  Today is expected to be dry and temperatures will be very comfortable.  We could see a little more rain this upcoming week and high temps should reach into the 80s. Our 10:45 AM temperature is 74°F, the humidity is 63% and skies are partly cloudy.  Winds are from the west at…

One Of Those “Hot” Days . . . . .

One Of Those “Hot” Days . . . . .

This will probably be our last dry day as the midwest storms will start reaching us tomorrow.  I hope it settles down a bit before finding us.  Today’s heat and increasing humidity will help it to maintain its power.  We could see highs nearing the 90s this afternoon. Our 12:30 PM temperature is 82°F, the humidity is 28% and the pressure is 30.05 in and falling.  The dew point is 45°F and visibility is 16 miles.  Yesterday’s high was 83F…
