Another Hot Day In Mid Michigan
After a sunny morning, the sky has clouded up and my weather station is showing one lightning strike 22 miles away. I’m seeing some spotty showers to our southwest on radar but it looks mainly like light rain. We plan to cook out this afternoon so I hope that the rain holds off until after we’re done. This hot weather isn’t expected to end anytime soon so the AC has been working overtime. It has cooled off a bit since the clouds rolled in but the humidity and dew point still make it feel very uncomfortable. Typical for August.
Our 3:30 PM temperature is 83°F (28 °C), the humidity is 70%, and winds are from the SSE at 2-4 mph. The dew point is 71°F (22°C). The pressure is 29.85 in (1010.8 mb) and steady. Visibility is 10 miles and the sky is cloudy. Yesterday’s high was 89°F (32°C) and the overnight low was 66°F (19°C). Average temps for this date are 79°F /57 °F.
