Another Hot Day in Mid Michigan
Although our morning is sunny, there is a line of thunderstorms approaching from the northwest. I’m not sure if they will hold together considering that our humidity is quite low, but they have continued through the overnight. I guess we’ll find out in a few hours.
The temperature didn’t fall much overnight with steady temps in the low 70s. It did make it up to 90° yesterday, and probably will again today. The next few days should be a little cooler, much more to my liking.
Our 8:45 AM temp is 74.7°F (24°C), the humidity is 48%, and winds are from the southwest at 9 mph. Skies are partly cloudy, and visibility is 10 miles. The heat index is 75°F (24°F). The pressure is 29.97 in (29.97 mb) and rising. Yesterday’s high was 90°F (32°C) and the overnight low was 70°F (21°C). The record high for June 11 is 93°F (34°C) set in 1949, and the record low is 41°F (5°C) set in 1980.
OUR FORECAST:
Today: Partly cloudy with afternoon showers and thunderstorms. High near 90°F. Winds WSW at 10-20 mph. Chance of rain 40%.
Tonight: Mostly cloudy with scattered showers and thunderstorms overnight. Low 67°F. Winds NNE at 5-10 mph. Chance of rain 60%.
Tuesday: Cloudy with scattered thunderstorms in the morning. High 83°F. Winds NE at 5-10 mph. Chance of rain 50%.
