A Pleasant Labor Day Weekend on Tap For Mid Michigan
Our last summer holiday weekend should be great for traveling with plenty of sun expected and decent temperatures. But Monday will bring another cold front and rain. This is very chilly for late August and early September in Michigan with overnight lows dipping into the upper 30s in northern Michigan. Highs in the mid to upper 60s is all we can expect for this upcoming week. I don’t mind the cool temps but it is just too early for them.
Our 9 AM temp is 51°F (10°C), the humidity is 76%, and skies are clear. The pressure is 30.08 in (1018.3 mb) and falling. The dew point is 46°F (7°C), and visibility is 10 miles. Winds are from the ENE at 3 mph. Yesterday’s high was 68°F and the overnight low was 48°F. Normal temps for this date are 76°F / 56°F. The record high for Sept. 2 is 97°F (36°c) set in 1953, and the record low is 39°F (2°C) set in 1994.
