Very December-Like Weather For Mid Michigan
We had intermittent light snow showers most of the day Wednesday, and this seems to be what we can expect today. Our high temperatures will remain in the 30s through this week and there are no significant weather systems knocking on our door at this time. I guess that’s a good thing. I’m having a hard time getting motivated to get out and do my Christmas shopping. My biggest problem is that I hate crowds and long lines. I’m finding that going out in the early evening is a good time but then it gets dark so early. My night vision isn’t what it used to be.
Our 9 AM temperature is 30.7°F (-1°C), the humidity is 79%, and skies are overcast. The pressure is 30.08 in (1018.6 mb) and steady. Winds are from the SW at 7 mph, giving us a wind chill of 25°F (-4°C). The dew point is 28°F (-2°C). Sunrise was at 7:53 AM and sunset will be at 5:01 PM. Yesterday’s high was 33°F (1°C) and the overnight low was 29°F (-2°C). Averages for this date are 36°F / 25°F. The record high temp for Dec. 6 is 69°F (21°C) set in 2001, and the record low is -4°F (-20°C) set in 1964.
