Dangerous Wind Chill Replaces Winter Storm – Mid Michigan
Our Governor has issued a state of emergency for the state because of the dangerous wind chills and temperatures for tomorrow. I really don’t know what that will entail, but at any rate, no one should be out tomorrow that doesn’t have to be. I have heard that wind chills could be as low as -40°F with highs only around zero. More snow is in our forecast for today with NOAA saying another 3 inches possible for tonight. I think we have enough already. A wind chill warning is in effect from 6 PM tonight until 11 AM on Thursday.,
Our 10:15 AM temp is 15°F (-9°C) , the humidity is 81% and winds are from the SSW at 8 mph. We have cloudy skies and a moderate snow shower at this time. The pressure is 29.82 in (1009.8 mb) and rising. The dew point is 10°F (-12°C), and the wind chill is 5°F (-15°C). Averages for this date are 17°F / 14°F. Yesterday’s high was 22°F and the overnight low was 10°F (-12°C). Sunrise was at 7:54 AM and sunset will be at 5:45 PM.
