A Change Coming To Mid Michigan
Yesterday was a very rare day for January here in Michigan. For the entire day, there wasn’t one cloud in the skiy. We didn’t see any until almost dark. Unfortunately, the wind was unbearably strong with gusts reaching 30 mph at times. Temperatures weren’t that warm either, so being outdoors, even with the sun, wasn’t that pleasant. Temperatures today are a bit warmer but we have clouds once again. We have a few more days with above normal temps, then reality will set in. Snow lovers are still waiting for this heavy snow that was predicted by Farmers Almanac.
Our 1:30 PM temperature is 39°F (4°C), the humidity is 48% and winds are from the west at 13 mph, gusting to 21 mph. The wind chill is 30°F (-1°C). The pressure is 29.96 in (1014.6 mb) and falling. Visibility is 10 miles. Yesterday’s high was 42°F (6°C) and the overnight low was 28°F (-2°C). Averages for this date are 31°F / 20°F. Sunrise was at 8:07 AM and sunset will be at 5:18 PM.
