Sunny But Blustery – Mid Michigan
Yesterday’s winds didn’t seem that bad, at least not as strong as what was predicted. The highest gust showing on my weather station was 24 mph. I heard that some lost power so I think that the wind was worse in other areas of the state. The upper peninsula is buried with a foot of new snow in the many areas. I love northern Michigan but wouldn’t want to deal with their winter weather. We also have snow in our forecast although no accumulations are expected.
Our 9:45 AM temperature is 37°F (3°C), the humidity is 56%, and winds are from the SW at 5-16 mph. Skies are partly to mostly cloudy. The pressure is 29.98 in (1015.2 mb) and steady. Visibility is 10 miles and the dew point is 22°F (-6°C). The “feels like” temperature is 30°F (-1°C). Yesterday’s high was 55°F (13°C) and the overnight low was 26°F (-3°C). Average temps for this date are 56°F / 37°F. Sunrise was at 6:56 AM and sunset will be at 8:18 PM.
