Sunny And Mild For Our Thurday – Mid Michigan
We came back home yesterday and could see many flooded fields as we traveled through the Mt. Pleasant-Clare area. US 10, which passes Midland, was completely closed due to flooding. They are saying that this is a 500 year event and so many people are affected. These types of weather events are so sad as Mother Nature can be so cruel. The owners of our campground said that there was 4 inches of snow on the ground last week up there. I have never seen this much snow in May before. Between the weather and this Covid 19 virus, it’s no wonder that so many people are depressed and anxious. On the positive side, temperatures will finally be seasonable this week, and we could see highs in the mid to upper 80s on Memorial Day weekend.
Our 9 AM temperature is 60F (16C), the humidity is 52%, and skies are clear. The dew point is 48F (9C) and the pressure is 30.09 in (1019.0 mb) and steady. Winds are from the ESE at 2-4 mph and visibility is 10 miles. Yesterday’s high was 73F (23C) and the overnight low was 46F (8C). Average temps for this date are 67F / 47F. The record high temp for May 20 is 93F (34C) and the record low is 31F (-1C). Sunrise was at 6:08 AM and sunset will be at 9 PM.
