Thunderstorms For Our Tuesday – Mid Michigan

Thunderstorms For Our Tuesday – Mid Michigan

I’m a bit late with this blog today but have been busy all morning.  We’re heading up to the campground tomorrow for the holiday weekend, and will be up there for a week.  I’m hoping that the WiFi is working but it probably isn’t.  The new owner of the campground doesn’t seem to think that it’s a priority.  The extended forecast is calling for some very cool weather for the weekend, which isn’t unusual for northern Michigan.  I’d rather it be cool than in the 90s like it has been most of the summer.  Today was mostly cloudy all morning but storms have just moved in on us.  Looking at the radar, I think it will be raining into the overnight hours.

Today is the first meteorological day of autumn.  Our 5:30 PM temp is 76°F (24°C), the humidity is 87% and the dew point is 73°F (23°C).  Skies are overcast with thunder but only a few drops of rain so far.  Winds are from the SSE at 2-8 mph.  Visibility is 7 miles.  The pressure is 29.83 in (1010.2 mb) and falling. Yesterday’s high was 78°F (26°C) and the overnight low was 61°F (16°C). Averages for this date are 80°F / 56°F.  Sunrise was at 7:01 AM and sunset was at 8:09 PM.

DURAND / OWOSSO FORECAST:

Tonight:  Thunderstorms likely, continuing overnight.  Low 67°F.  Winds SSW at 5-10 mph.  Chance of rain 80%.

Wednesday:  Rain likely before 8 AM.  Gradually becoming sunny.  High 79°F.  Winds W 6-11 mph, gusting to 20 mph.  Chance of rain 30%.

Wednesday Night (Topinabee):  Mostly clear.  Low 55F.  Winds W at 5 mph, becoming calm.
