An Interesting Phenomenon In Cheboygan Yesterday
Yesterday was a clear, beautiful day here in the Indian River area. We took a drive to Cheboygan late afternoon, and as we approached the in-law’s cabins, we saw what appeared to be heavy dark smoke. As we got closer, we realized that it was fog coming in off Lake Huron. It remained within 1 mile of the shoreline and engulfed the cabins. My picture is showing their beach area (what’s left of it.) They lost about 100 feet of beach area this year. I later saw videos of the Mackinaw bridge in dense fog on the news. The fog remained mostly over the water and seemed to be moving back and forth over land. As many times as we’ve been in this area, I never saw that happen before.
