A Cold, Sunny Day In Mid Michigan
This weather is a bit redundant I’ll admit, but everyday is the same as the last. I really wish that we had some variety, especially in the temperature division. This frigid weather is getting old. We had mostly clear skies this morning, but now clouds have taken over. The one good thing is that the lakes are starting to freeze over, so that lessens the formation of lake effect snow showers. We have about 5.5 inches of snow cover at this time and it won’t be going anywhere soon. There are no above-freezing temperatures anywhere in the future forecasts. So where we got a break in our heating bills over the past two months, we’ll be making up for it this month.
Our 12:30 PM temperature is 20F (-7C), the humidity is 63%, and winds are from the WSW at 2-5 mph, giving us a wind chill of 15F (-9C). The pressure is 30.16 in (1021.3 mb) and falling. The dew point is 7F (-14C) and visibility is 10 miles. Skies are cloudy. Yesterday’s high was 21F (-6C) and the overnight low was -4F (-20C) Averages for this date are 28F / 15F. Sunrise was at 7:41 AM and sunset will be at 6:00 PM.
