A large area of thunderstorms formed over mid Michigan and moved to the south late yesterday. There were no storm warnings issued although there should have been. Local forecasters said that they didn’t actually reach severe levels although there was plenty of wind damage done. We had to go to Detroit yesterday and the weather situation was quite remarkable. When we left at 9 AM, the sun was out with scattered clouds. Then the sky became overcast and dark clouds began appearing to our south. We soon had sprinkles with no real heavy rain. On our return home, we ran into one deluge after another.
