Severe Thunderstorm Warning For Mid Michigan
After a sunny, lovely morning, our skies have become dark and strong thunderstorms have been moving across the state since about 4 PM. We haven’t received anything yet but a few sprinkles so far. Looking at the radar, it doesn’t seem to me that what’s coming our way is anything but heavy rain. Some areas affected so far have reported hail as large as baseballs. I’m also hearing of trees down and power outages in the mid portions of the state. The storms are just now approaching us so how bad it will be remains to be seen.
Our 6:15 PM temperature is 70°F (21°C), down 13 degrees from earlier. Our high today was 85°F (29°C). The humidity is 86%, and winds are from the SSE at 1 mph. The pressure is 29.59 in (1002.0 mb) and falling. Yesterday’s high was 74°F (23°C) and the overnight low was 48°F (9°C). Average temps for this date are 78°F / 54°F. Sunrise was at 7:07 AM and sunset will be at 8:01 PM.
