A Lovely Autumn Day In Mid Michigan
Today has been warm with just enough breeze to keep it comfortable. The humidity is low and it’s a great day to just be outdoors. We are starting to see some color in a few trees and this is why autumn is my favorite season. I know that the official beginning of fall is still a few days off, but meteorologically speaking, it’s here already. The next week should see above-average highs and there is not much rain in our forecast. Our garden is starting to wind down, and I’m hoping that the few tomatoes still on the vine will ripen before it gets cold. The squash didn’t do well because of all the rain, and like my hanging baskets, most were flooded out. Oh well, that’s the chance you take when planting a garden.
Our 1:45 PM temperature is 80°F (27°C), the humidity is 53%, and skies are partly cloudy. Winds are from the SW at 4-11 mph. The pressure is 29.91 in (1012.9 mb) and falling. Visibility is 10 miles and the dew point is 60°F (16°C). Yesterday’s high was 77°F (25°C) and the overnight low was 49°F (9°C). Average temps for this date are 74°F / 51°F. Sunrise was at 7:17 AM and sunset will be at 7:43 PM.
