Flood Watch Remains In Effect – Mid Michigan
The rain began yesterday afternoon and intermittent heavy showers continued through the afternoon. More steady rain developed overnight and there was 0.90″ in my gauge at 8AM. It has been raining steadily since then. I’m seeing on the CoCoRahs map that the Detroit area has received well over three inches in many places. A flood watch is in effect until tomorrow morning. Temperatures have cooled down considerably and highs today are expected to remain in the mid 50s.
Our 9:30 AM temp is 51°F (11°C), the humidity is 97%, and winds are from the north at 12 mph, gusting to 16 mph. Skies are cloudy with moderate rain. Visibility is 4 miles and the dew point is 50°F (10°C). The pressure is 29.87 in (1011.5 mb) and rising. Yesterday’s high was 74°F (23°C) and the overnight low was 51°F (11°C).
