A Rainy Monday In Mid Michigan
This has been a dark and gloomy, wet day since the beginning. The rain has been intermittent but with the humidity and high dew point, the air feels very wet even when the rain isn’t falling. There were scattered showers and thunderstorms on Sunday, and a tornado warning was even issued during the late afternoon for the Clarkston – Holly area. No tornadoes were spotted however. Forecasts called for an end to the rain this afternoon but I’m not seeing that happening. We are currently having a moderate shower and 0.08″ has fallen since 8:30 this morning. We received 1:13″ of rain yesterday and overnight.
Our 3:45 PM temperature is 65°F (18°C), the humidity is 98% and the dew point is 64°F (18°C). Winds are from the NW at 3-8 mph and the pressure is 29.85 in (1010.8 mb) and rising. Visibility is 9 miles. Yesterday’s high was 74°F (23°C) and the overnight low was 62°F (17°C). Average temps for this date are 65°F / 46°F. Sunrise was at 7:36 AM and sunset will be at 7:12 PM.
