Our First Measurable Snow Of The Season – Mid Michigan

Our First Measurable Snow Of The Season – Mid Michigan

A winter weather advisory was issued early this morning from 3 pm until midnight.  But the snow began around 10 am and has continued since then.  My daughter and I had to go out, and coming home, the roads were really getting slick.  My son and daughter had to go back home today, to the Detroit area.  My son called a while ago saying that vehicles were wiping out on the freeway.  I thought that the road crews would be out early since the advisory was issued early enough,  but guess I was wrong.  I hope that they both make it home okay.  I’m seeing a total snowfall of 2-4 inches possible for us.

Our 12:30 pm temperature is 29F (-2C), the humidity is 90%, and skies are overcast with moderate snowfall.  The wind chill is 27F (-3C).  The dew point is 26F (-3C) and winds are from the  SSE at 4-8 mph.  The pressure is 29.82 in (1009.8 mb) and falling.  Visibility is 1 miles.  Sunrise was at 7:43 am and sunset will be at 5:05 pm.  Yesterday’s high was 30F (-1C) and the overnight low was 24F (-4C).  Average temperatures for this date are 40F / 28F.
