Possible Winter Storm On The Way for Mid Michigan
We are expecting what could be a major winter storm on Saturday night and into Sunday. Forecasters haven’t given us a definite snow amount yet but it could be significant. The guestiment at this time is 6+ inches for our area. Thankfully, Friday is supposed to get quite warm and hopefully all this ice will melt first. As for today, temps aren’t expected to rise much above where they are right now, so not much of a thaw today. Our current snow cover is about 90% and 1.5 inches deep. I’m hearing that there is no more above average temps expected after Jan. 1, so I guess winter will be here to stay. I hope that at least we get our usual January thaw.
