Our First Thunderstorm Of The Year, Heavy Rain For Mid Michigan

We drove by the river today on our way to town and it is well over it’s banks in Corunna.  We received over an inch of rain in the thunderstorms and showers that we had the past 2 days.  I think we have enough rain for a while.  The lawn is saturated and some areas feel like a sponge when walked on.  Temperatures will continue to fall over the next few days, and Saturday will feel like winter, with highs expected only in the low 30s.  March is definitely the teaser month.  Temperatures will only rebound into the 40s next week and we don’t know when our next upper 50s to low 60s day will be again.  I hope it isn’t too far away.

Our 2:15 PM temperature is 46°F (8°C), the humidity is 81%, and winds are from the SW at 5-24 mph.  Skies are overcast and the wind chill is 39°F (4°C).  The pressure is 29.63 in (1003.4 mb) and steady.  Visibility is 10 miles.  Yesterday’s high was 47°F (8°C) and the overnight low was 43°F (6°C).  Average temps for this date are 46°F / 30°F.  Sunrise was at 7:33 AM and sunset will be at 7:53 PM.
