A Little Cooler After The Storms – Mid Michigan

A Little Cooler After The Storms – Mid Michigan

Yesterday began with clear skies, but it didn’t last long.  About 2 PM, the clouds started rolling in, and the radar showed developing small scattered cells  of thunderstorms developing , mainly to our south.  As they moved northward, they increase in size and merged with each other.  We heard constant thunder most of the afternoon, although we got very little rain.  Then around 7 PM. another cluster of merged cells came at us from the northwest, and gave us a very heavy downpour.  We receive about half and inch in about quarter of an hour.  Other areas of the state received storms near severe level but we were lucky.  It has significantly cooled down today and that makes me happy.  There will be a total eclipse of the moon tonight but as usual, we probably won’t be able to see it.

Our 2 PM temperature is 80°F, the humidity is 41%, and winds are from the west at 3-6 mph.  Skies are mostly cloudy and the dew point is 51°F.  The UV index is very high at 8.  Visibility is 17 miles.  The Pressure is 29.72 in and falling.  Yesterday’s high was 86°F and the overnight low was 53°F.  Average temps for this date are 65°F / 45°F.  Sunrise was at 6:13 AM and sunset will be at 8:52 PM.
