Overnight Storms Missed Us – Mid Michigan

Southern portions of the state saw some  hefty thunderstorms overnight, but we weren’t that lucky.  I am seeing some lightning strikes on my weather station but all we got in rain was 0.01″. Some areas received up to an inch.  Today is anything but stormy with plenty of sun and a few clouds floating by.  Temperatures are expected to be a little above average and it should be a nice summer-like day, probably one of the last.  The remainder of our week will see below-average temperatures, and still not much in the way of rain is expected.  This has been one of the driest Septembers that I can ever remember.

Our 12:45 PM temperature is 78°F, the humidity is 60%, and skies are partly cloudy.  The dew point is 62°F and visibility is 10 miles.  Winds are from the northwest at 3-12 mph.  Yesterday’s high was 85°F and the overnight low was 66°F.  Average temps for this date are 72°F / 49°F.  Sunrise was at 7:21 AM and sunset will be at 7:41 PM.

DURAND / OWOSSO FORECAST:

Today:  Sun and clouds mixed.  High 78°F.  Winds NW at 10-15 mph.

Tonight:  Clear skies.  Low 53°F.  Winds light and variable.

Tuesday:  Partly to mostly cloudy.  High near 80°F.  Winds SW at 5-10 mph.
