Fair Weather For Mid Michigan
Yesterday was dreary and cold. It really set the mood for following Hurricane Ian on YouTube, riding along with the storm chasers. I have many relatives and friends in Florida and I’m still concerned for those that I haven’t heard from yet. Unfortunately, some are in the Fort Myers area. My sister/brother-in-law who owns and runs the cabins in Cheboygan, were very concerned about their home in New Port Richey, and their daughter who lives in Tampa. It was big relief for them when Ian made landfall further south than what was expected. I did see some of the aftermath on YouTube this morning and the damage done is heartbreaking. My sister-in-law was able to contact some neighbors there and they assured her that they sustained no damage. That’s remarkable considering how large that storm is. I’ve been watching the projected path, and right now, it’s right directly toward us. But a large high pressure center is expected to push it back toward the east. I’m hoping that happens. Our morning began with clouds, but now the sky has cleared and the sun is warming it up a bit. We should see warmer temps everyday this week.
Our 4 PM temperature is 61°F, the humidity is 65%, and winds are from the NE at 0-3 mph. The dew point is 43°F and the pressure is 30.35 in and falling. Yesterday’s high was 55°F and the overnight low was 48°F Average temps for this date are 68°F / 46°F. The record high is 84°F and the record low is 28°F. Sunrise was at 7:32 AM and sunset will be at 7:23 PM.
