The Winds Have Calmed And We Have A Decent Sunday In Mid Michigan
Yesterday’s blustery conditions resulted in an extraordinary sunset which drew a lot of attention from area photographers. The picture above is just one, but there are many more on the Michigan weather group on Facebook. These pictures are amazing and the sky kept changing colors every few minutes. Strong winds continued into the overnight, but they had calmed substantially by this morning. The strongest wind gust that I’ve seen was 63 mph in Mt. Pleasant area. The highest in our area was about 40 mph. At least we didn’t lose power.
Our 10 AM temperature is 49°F, the humidity is 63% and skies are partly to mostly cloudy. Winds are from the S at 8-12 mph and visibility is 12 miles. The dew point is 39°F. The pressure is 29.99 in and rising. We had a few light showers yesterday which gave us 0.05″ Sunrise was at 7:18 AM and sunset will be at 5:24 PM. Yesterday’s high was 73°F and the overnight low was 40°F. Average temps for this date are 50°F / 34°F.
