Cloudy and Cooler In Mid Michigan
The high reached the mid 50s yesterday. Today won’t be quite that balmy but still better than what we had a week ago. It’s amazing how much the temperatures can fluctuate in one week. We had light showers yesterday that left 0.19 inches in my gauge, and the Detroit area received a lot more. There is no precipitation in our forecast for today, but we aren’t expecting to see much sun either. All of our snow pack is gone and we aren’t expecting more anytime soon. That’s fine. At least this New Year will bring good road conditions for any who still go out partying. I’m happy just to sit here at home and watch the festivities on TV.
Our 10:15 AM temperature is 36°F, the humidity is 94%, and skies are overcast. Winds are from the northwest at 3-6 mph. The wind chill is 33°F and visibility is 4 miles. The pressure is 29.82 in and steady. Yesterday’s high was 55°F and the overnight low was 36°F. Average temps for this date are 31°F / 19°F. Record temps for Dec. 30 are 61°F / -11°F. Sunrise was at 8:08 AM and sunset will be at 5:12 PM.
