Much Colder After Two Days Of Rain – Mid Michigan

All of our snow is gone except for a few spots where we shoveled.  Mild temperatures and rain over the past two days took care of most of it.  The southern parts of the state saw highs in the 50s yesterday, but we didn’t get nearly that warm.  They also had very strong winds with some power outages, and we didn’t get that either.  In fact, our winds are stronger today than they were yesterday.  We are just now seeing a little sun peaking through the clouds, and tomorrow should be much brighter.  Our rain amount over the past two days was slightly less than an inch.  We had a few snow flurries this morning but it didn’t last long.  Next week is expected to bring above average temps again, and most of us are loving it.  Local weather gurus, however, are warning of a couple of weather systems heading our way from the west which could give us more winter toward the end of the month.  We’ll have to keep watch on that one.

Our 3:30 PM temperature is 36°F, the humidity is 69%, and skies are mostly cloudy.  Winds are from the NW at 5-20 mph and the dew point is 25°F.  The pressure is 30.01 in and steady.  Visibility is 10 miles.  Yesterday’s high was 46°F and the overnight low was 33°F.  Average temps for this date are 31°F / 16°F.  Record temps for Feb. 9 are 60°F / -19°F.  Sunrise was at 7:42 AM and sunset will be at 6:02 PM.
