Nasty Weather Ahead For Mid Michigan
Currently, we are under a winter storm watch with some discrepancies as to what we can expect. My YouTube weather guy, Ryan Hall, is warning that we could get a major ice storm with up to 0.5″ of ice. NOAA is saying only 0.1 to 0.2″ of ice, with 1-2 inches of snow. Weather Underground is saying that it will be mostly snow for us with 5-8 inches possible. It’s going to be interesting to see who is right. I’m hoping for the snow myself, but my husband is dying to try out the new generator, so a power outage wouldn’t upset him at all. Today is a bit breezy, but otherwise, not bad. We shouldn’t see the start of this storm until early Wednesday.
Our 1:30 PM temperature is 30F (-1°C), the humidity is 63%, and skies are cloudy. Winds are from the west at 7-25 mph, and the dew point is 17°F (-8°C). The pressure is 29.92 in (1013 mb) and steady. Yesterday’s high was 44°F (6°C) and the overnight low was 28°F (-2°C). Average temps for this date are 35°F / 18°F. Record temps for Feb. 20 are 63°F / -9°F. Sunrise was at 7:27 AM and sunset will be at 6:16 PM.
