A Cool, Rainy Day In Mid Michigan

We started the day with showers, then thunderstorms moved in from the northwest.  Most of them stayed to our north and east although there is lightning showing up on my weather station. My son had to have emergency eye surgery yesterday, so we spent most of our day at U of M in Ann Arbor.  We had to take him back this morning for a recheck, so we just got home about half an hour ago.  We ran into some heavy pockets of rain and my picture shows the cloud formation that we saw.  Here at home, we received about 0.03″ of rain and radar is showing no more storms forming.  A high in the upper 80s was forecasted for today, but it has a long way to go if it’s going to reach that mark.

Our 12:45 PM temperature is 69°F (21°C), the humidity is 87%, and skies are cloudy.  The real feel index is 73°F (23°C) and the dew point is 62°F (17°C).  Winds are from the SE at 2-6 mph, and the barometer is at 29.87 in (1011.5 mb) and falling.  Visibility is 10 miles.  Yesterday’s high was 75°F (24°C) and the overnight low was 64°F (18°C).  The Air Quality index is good at 24, and the UV Index is low at 2.  Sunrise was at 6:52 AM and sunset will be at 8:29 PM.
