Fog To Start Our Day . . . .
We were lucky yesterday and didn’t get any freezing rain. All the snow and ice on my deck has turned to slush and it shovels easily. We still have about 2 inches of snowpack and I expect that to be gone by late tomorrow. Extended forecasts are telling us that February will be mild, and I hope they are right. I’m just not cut out for these single digit and teen temperatures. This morning began with dense fog and it continues to be a bit hazy even now. Visibility is 4 miles. There is a dense fog advisory until tomorrow.
Our noon temperature is 38°F (3°C), the humidity is 100%, and winds are calm. The dew point is 37°F (3°C) and the pressure is 29.96 in (1014.6 mb) and falling. Yesterday’s high was 37°F (3°C) and the overnight low was 33°F (1°C). Average temps for this date are 30°F/15°F. The record high for Jan 23 is 60°F (1908) and the record low is -14°F (1960). Sunrise was at 8:00 AM and sunset will be at 5:38 PM.
