More Fog . . . .

More Fog . . . .

I don’t remember ever having this many days in a row of dense fog.  This morning was just cloudy, then the fog appeared around 1:30 PM.  It is just as dense as it was the past two days.  Heavy rain moved into our area overnight and there was over one inch in my rain gauge this morning.  Much of the snow is gone.  We just have patches left here and there.  I almost forgot what a clear, sunny day looks like, and I don’t see any predicted anytime soon.  Our ground cover of snow is about 80%.

Our 3:45 PM temperature is 37°F (3°C), the humidity is 100%, and winds are from the north at 0-7 mph.  The dew point is 35°F (2°C) and visibility is 0.25 miles.  The pressure is 29.93 in (1013.6 mb) and rising.  Yesterday’s high was 40°F (4°C), and the overnight low was 33°F (1°C).  Average temps for this date are 30°F/15°F.  The record high for Jan 25 is 65°F (1950) and the record low is  -16°F (2004).  Sunrise was at 7:59 AM, and sunset will be at 5:41 PM.
