Gloomy And Wet Memorial Day . . . .

Gloomy And Wet Memorial Day . . . .

It is not a pretty day for those driving home from their holiday venues.  We had quite a bit of rain late yesterday and overnight.  There was 0.35″ in my rain gauge, and quite a few lightning strikes on my weather station.  I wasn’t aware of any thunder, so I must have slept through it.  Today began with fog and light sprinkles and mist.  The sky looked pretty stormy but is now just overcast grey.  The biggest issue is the wind which has gusts up to 24 mph.  I’m glad we had lovely weather over the weekend.

Our 3:30 temperature is 59°F, the humidity is 89%, and winds are from the west at 7-15 mph, gusting higher at times.  The pressure is 29.66 in and rising and the dew point is 54°F.  Visibility is 10 miles.  Yesterday’s high was 77°F, and the overnight low was 58°F.  Average temps for this day are 73°F/50°F.  The record high for May 26 is 91F set in 2020, and the record low is 29F set in 1961.  Sunrise was at 6:04 AM, and sunset will be at 9:06 PM.
