First Day Of Meteorological Summer . . . . .

First Day Of Meteorological Summer . . . . .

Summer begins today according to the Weather Service, and I agree.  It will feel very summer-like with highs expected in the upper 70s.  Our day is beginning with a light cloud cover and filtered sun.  There is a chance for rain later on and overnight.  There will be just enough breeze to keep it comfortable, so it should be enjoyable.

Our 11 AM temperature is 71°F (22°C), the humidity is 47%, and winds are from the SE at 3-8 mph.  Skies are cloudy and the dew point is 44°F (7°C).  The pressure is 30.11 in (1019.7 mb) and falling.  Visibility is 14 miles.  Yesterday’s high was 79°F (26°C), and the overnight low was 50°F (10°C).  Average temps for this day are 74°F/52°F.  The record high for May 31 is 92°F (33°C) set in 1988, and the record low is 32°F (0°C) set in 1966.  Sunrise was at 6:01 AM, and sunset will be at 9:10 PM.
