The rain we got was the remnants of Hurricane Helene, that has caused a lot of devastation, not only in Florida, but Tennessee and North Carolina as well. I’ve been watching the hurricane coverage on TV. I feel so sorry for those who seem to always be affected by these storms. The past 3 or 4 seem to have aimed for the northwest areas of Florida, and some of the victims have just rebuilt from previous storms, and now have to start over again. We finally got a good rainstorm yesterday afternoon. There was 0.68″ in my gauge this morning, and our sky looks like we could get more. The radar looks clear for now. At 8:30 this morning, it was very foggy and visibility was less than half a mile. Now the skies have cleared up with not a cloud in the sky. Temperatures will rise into the 80s again.
