Mild But Windy . . . .

Mild But Windy . . . .

As we enjoy lovely autumn weather, the southeast is preparing for yet another hurricane.  While Florida is still trying to clean up after Helena, another one, Milton, seems to be heading straight for them.  The only question is where it will land.  As for us, we’re under a red flag warning since it has been so dry.  Many of our trees are dropping leaves with no color change because it has been so dry.  Also it will be very windy over the next couple of days, so that adds to it.

Our 1 PM temperature is 75°F, the humidity is 32%, and winds are from the west at 16-23 mph.  Skies are clear.  The pressure is 29.71 in and steady,.  The dew point is 36°F and visibility is 25°F.  Yesterday’s high was 71F and the overnight low was 60°F.  Average temps for this date are 64°F/43°F.  Record temps for Oct. 5 are 87°F (1922) and 24°F (2003).  Sunrise was at 7:41 AM, and sunset will be at 7:10 PM.
