No More Mild Weather For A While . . . .

The next several days will be very frigid with highs only in the single digits and lows below zero.  Fortunately, it won’t last but just a couple of days.  There is no snow in our forecast anytime soon either so my deck should stay clear for a while.

Our 2:15 PM temperature is 28°F (-2C), the humidity is 66%, and winds are from the NW at 6-15 mph.  Skies are cloudy and we received just a trace of rain over the past 24 hours.  The wind chill is 20°F (-7°C) and the dew point is 17°F (-8°C).  The pressure is 29.74 in (1007.1 mb) and rising and visibility is 10 miles.  Yesterday’s high was 41°F (5°C) and the low since midnight was 28°F (-2°C).  Average temps for this date are 30°F/15°F.  Record temps for Jan. 17 are 60°F (1952) and -15°F (1982).  Sunrise was at 8:04 AM and sunset was at 5:31 PM.

Today:  Mostly cloudy with the high at 34°F (1°C).  Winds NNW at 10-15 mph, gusting to 20 mph.
