Winter Storm Watch In Effect . . . .

We have another winter storm knocking on our door.  Right now, we have freezing rain, then later we can expect up to 8-10 inches of new snow by tomorrow night.  It will be interesting to see how much we actually get.  Sometimes the weather forecasters get a bit carried away with their predictions.

Our 1:30 PM temperature is 30F, the humidity is 94% and winds are from the E at 2-4 mph.  The pressure is 29.68 in and falling and the dew point is 26°F.  Visibility is 2 miles.  Yesterday’s high was 24°F and the overnight low was 19°F.  Average temps for this date are 33°F/17°F.  Record temps for Feb. 14 are 56°F   (2023) and -10°F (2016).  Sunrise was at 7:35 AM and sunset will be at 6:09 PM.

DURAND / OWOSSO FORECAST:

Today:  Occasional freezing rain or snow showers.  Patchy fog.  Temps nearly steady around 30°F.  Winds E at 1-5 mph.  Chance of precip 50%.

Tonight:  Snow, heavy at times.  Low 26°F.  Winds NNE at 10-15 mph.  Possible snow accumulation of 3-4 inches.  Chance of snow 100%.

Sunday:  Snow, heavy at times.  High 29°F with falling temps during the afternoon. Winds NNW at 10-20 mph.  Additional snow accumulations of 3-4 inches.  Chance of precip    90%.
