Severe Storms On The Way . . . . .

We have been warned for the past week that tonight may be challenging for us weather-wise.  Conditions will be good for severe storms moving across our state.  My area is right on the line between the major threat and the lesser threat, if that means anything.  The storms are expected here at around midnight.

Our 2 PM temperature is 80°F, the humidity is 56%, and skies are partly cloudy.  Winds are from the SE at 4-6 mph, and the pressure is 29.59 in and falling.  The dew point is 64°F and visibility is 10 miles.  Yesterday’s high was 77°F and the overnight low was 59°F.  Average temps for this date are 69°F/46°F. Record temps for May 14 are 90°F (1962) and 30°F (1997).  Sunrise was at 6:14 AM and sunset will be at 8:54 PM.

DURAND / OWOSSO FORECAST:

Today:  Mostly sunny.  High near 85°F.  Winds S at 5-10 mph.

Tonight:  Showers and thunderstorms.  Some could be severe.  Low in the mid 60s.  Becoming partly cloudy toward  morning.  Winds S at 10-15 mph.  Chance of rain 70%.

Friday:  Mostly sunny.  High in the mid 80°s.  Winds SSW at 10-15 mph, gusting to 25 mph at times.
