Rainy And Cool . . . .

Rainy And Cool . . . .

This weather feels more like early April.  Temps are far below where they should be for this late in May.  A little rain has moved in and this is expected to last until Friday.  The cool temps will remain through the holiday weekend. Our 3 PM temperature is 54°F (12°C), the humidity is 60%, and skies are cloudy with light drizzle.  Winds are from the east at 6-8 mph and the pressure is 29.86 in (1011.2 mb) and falling.  The…

Below Average Temp For The Week Ahead . . .

Below Average Temp For The Week Ahead . . .

As severe weather continues to plague much of the country, we have cooler than normal temperatures.  At least that will keep our weather peaceful.  Much of Michigan is cleaning up after our round of tornadoes last Thursday night, so no storms this  upcoming week will be a blessing. Our 1:45 PM temperature is 59°F (15°C), the humidity is 70%, and skies are cloudy.  Winds are from the NW at 4-8 mph and the pressure is 29.83 in (1010.2 mb) and…

A Cool-Down After The Storms . . . .

A Cool-Down After The Storms . . . .

The weather service has now confirmed that Michigan had 10 tornadoes Thursday night.  That number may rise with more investigation.  Prayers go out for the tornado victims in Kentucky and Missouri yesterday.  St. Louis was hit hard.  We had some severe weather also but nothing like Thursday night.  There are still many without power.  We were very lucky here where I am. Our 1:45 PM temperature is 55°F, the humidity is 79%, and skies are overcast.  We had a few…

Storms Didn’t Disappoint . . . . .

Storms Didn’t Disappoint . . . . .

After a very stormy nights, we woke to clear skies and bright sunshine this morning.  The storms rolled through my area between 11 pm and midnight.  They brought heavy rain and strong winds with them.  I think my area got off easy and I haven’t heard of any significant damage nearby.  There were tornado and severe storm warnings for about 4-5 hours, mostly to our western counties.  There were many reports of possible tornadoes but we have to wait for…

Severe Storms On The Way . . . . .

Severe Storms On The Way . . . . .

We have been warned for the past week that tonight may be challenging for us weather-wise.  Conditions will be good for severe storms moving across our state.  My area is right on the line between the major threat and the lesser threat, if that means anything.  The storms are expected here at around midnight. Our 2 PM temperature is 80°F, the humidity is 56%, and skies are partly cloudy.  Winds are from the SE at 4-6 mph, and the pressure…

Rain In Our Forecast . . .

Rain In Our Forecast . . .

After a dry Tuesday, I think that we may see some rain today or tonight.  Some areas got quite a bit of rain yesterday, but all we got was a slight period of mist.  Everything is nice and green and still damp from last week’s rain, and they are still telling us that we could see strong or severe storms late tomorrow.  We’ll just have to wait and see on that one. Our 11 AM temperature is 71°F, the humidity…

Temps Starting To Fall . . . .

Temps Starting To Fall . . . .

We had cloudy skies but warm temps first thing this morning.  Now there is light rain moving in from the southeast and temperatures are falling.  I think we’ve seen our high for the day.  Yesterday was beautiful with summer-like temperatures and windows were open all night.  We aren’t expecting anymore dry weather until Thursday.  They are also warning of possible severe weather late Thursday.  Hopefully we’ll be spared. Our 3 PM temperature is 70°F (21°C), the humidity is 83%, and…

Summer-Like Today . . .

Summer-Like Today . . .

It is very warm today, and even the wind coming in my windows feels like the furnace is on.  I’m not complaining.  It feels really good after the up and down temps that we’ve lately.  Unfortunately, we are expecting more storms on Thursday.  We have to expect that when it gets this warm this early in the year.  We have a mix of sun and clouds right now but there is no precip in the forecast. Our 2:15 pm temperature…

A Sunny, Warm Mother’s Day . . . .

A Sunny, Warm Mother’s Day . . . .

We couldn’t have nicer weather for Mother’s Day.  All my kids are home and we sat outdoors yesterday, then a cookout for dinner.  Today will be just as nice but a bit cooler.  It will still be comfortable. Our 10 AM temperature is 55°F, the humidity is 51%, and skies are clear.  Winds are from the NE at 2-6 mph, and the pressure is 30.28 in and rising.  The dew point is 37°F and visibility is 10 miles.  Yesterday’s high…
