High Humidity, Storms Coming To An End – Mid Michigan
Yesterday brought thunderstorms which lasted from 5 PM to near 10 PM. There was one after another with a lot of lightning, some striking very close to us. Heavy rainfall left 1.35″ in my gauge this morning. This morning, we had another line of storms develop, following the same path as last night, but they fell apart before reaching us. We were under a severe TS watch for awhile. Right now it is cloudy and breezy, but very warm. This will be the last of our summer weather, so it’s time to bring out the sweatshirts and jackets. Highs will only reach the 60s after this cold front moves through later today. It’s ironic how it is happening right with the actual beginning of autumn.
Our 2:15 PM temperature is 81°F, the humidity is 66%, and skies are cloudy. Winds are from the SSE at 2-11 mph. The pressure is 29.68 in and steady, and the dew point is 68°F. Yesterday’s high was 82°F and the overnight low was 63°F. Average temps for this date are 71°F / 48°F. Sunrise was at 7:24 AM and sunset will be at 7:38 PM. We are losing hours of daylight by about 3 minutes per day.
