A Little Rain For Our Friday . . . .
Our chance for rain was very slight today, but we did have a quick passing shower earlier. The main issue today is the wind. We are under a wind advisory until 6 PM. Gusts as high as 40 mph are possible, so not the kind of day where one would want to be outdoors. Highs are supposed to be in the upper 50s, and our car thermometer showed 61°F (16°C) while we were at the store. It didn’t last long however with the shower that passed by.
Our 2:15 PM temperature is 53°F (12°C), the humidity is 75%, and winds are from the west at 17-23 mph, giving us a wind chill of 50°F (10°C). The dew point is 45°F (7°C) and the pressure is 29.89 in (1012.2 mb) and steady. Average temps for this date are 36°F/24°F. Record temperatures for Dec. 9 are 50°F (10°C), set in 1999, and the record low is 3°F(-16°C), set in 2002. So our high temp record was broken today. Visibility is 10 miles. Sunrise was at 7:57 AM, and sunset will be at 5:03 PM.
