Snow And Wind Today . . . .
This winter storm has been a bit of a bust for us. We only got a couple inches of snow compared to other areas. There is a crust of ice on top of the snow, so it was difficult to measure this morning. The winter storm advisory ends at 1 PM so I think that most of it is over. Winds are supposed to pick up with gusts as high as 40 mph, but hasn’t happened so far. Yesterday afternoon, the snow turned to rain, so that’s what happened to much of our anticipated snowfall.
Our 12:30 PM temperature is 27°F, the humidity is 86%, and winds are from the west at 7-20 mph. The pressure is 29.25 in and rising, and the dew point is 21°F. Visibility is 5 miles and the wind chill is 14°F. Yesterday’s high was 35°F and the overnight low was 25°F. Average temps for this date are 30°F/16°F. The record high for Jan. 12 is 62°F set in 1890, and the record low is -17°F set in 1918. Sunrise was at 8:07 AM and sunset will be at 5:25 PM.
