Not Much Sun But Quite Mild . . . .

My heart breaks for the people stranded in the mountains of North Carolina, and I think it is criminal that the government seems to have written them off.  There’s another rain system in the Gulf which is threatening to bring more rain to Florida, something they don’t need, but there it is.  And the government is saying that FEMA is out of money and can’t help them.  We definitely need a change in leadership in this country.  I just hope that the people are smart enough to vote for that change.  I hate to talk about politics int0 my weather blog, but this is far too serious to ignore.

As for our weather, we are still waiting to see some sun and so far, we have seen very little.  It has peeked out a few times but only for a few minutes.  At least it is warm and not windy.

Our 3:45 PM temperature is 69°F, the humidity is 53%, and winds are from the NW at 1-3 mph.  Skies are mostly cloudy and the pressure is 30.15 in and steady and the dew point is 49°F.  Visibility is 14 miles.  Yesterday’s high was 78°F and the overnight low was 49°F.  Average temps for this date are 65°F/44°F.  Record temps for Oct. 3 are 90°F (1898) and 28°F (1974).  Sunrise was at 7:38 AM, and sunset will be at 7:13 PM.
