Look What’s Happening In The Deep South?

I’m sure all the snowbirds are in shock this morning.  Northern Florida is seeing temps near freezing and the possibility of a few inches of snow.  Same with the other southern states.  As for us, we’re still in the deep freeze but this should be our coldest day.  Then it starts getting better tomorrow.  I’m still not seeing any highs above freezing coming anytime soon, however.  But it is January after all.  I’ll leave it at that.

Our 10:15 AM temperature is 4°F, the humidity is 77%, and skies are partly to mostly cloudy.  We received another half inch of snow yesterday, and it just won’t quit.  Most seems to be lake effect off of Lake Michigan.  Winds are from the west at 5-9 mph, and the pressure is 30.30 in and steady.  The wind chill is -9°F.  The dew point is -3°F and visibility is 10 miles.  Yesterday’s high was 10F and the overnight low was 1°F.  Average temps for this date are 29°F/15°F.  Record temps for Jan 20 are 55F (1934) and -13F (1984).  Sunrise was at 8:02 AM, and sunset will be at 5:35 PM.
