Abnormally Warm Weather Continues In Mid Michigan
We lost almost all of our snow except where the snow piles were from shoveling and plowing. I’m hearing that there is another storm knocking on our door, but this one will be a combination of rain, snow, sleet, and freezing rain. The UP is bracing for an ice storm later today and I’m hoping that it remains up there. If we do get any freezing rain, it isn’t expected to accumulate much. This morning began with overcast skies, but now the sun is shining and I’m seeing more blue sky. I don’t think that it’s going to last long, however.
Our 9 AM temp is a balmy 48°F (9°C), the humidity is 83% and skies are partly to mostly cloudy. Winds are from the south at 8 mph and the dew point is 43°F (6°C). The pressure is 29.79 mb (1008.8 mb) and falling. Visibility is 10 miles. Yesterday’s high was 51°F (11°C) and the overnight low was 44°F (7°C). Sunrise this morning was at 7:48 AM and sunset will be at 5:53 PM.
