Nasty Winter Storm Heading Our Way – Mid Michigan
Tomorrow should be quite interesting with this storm affecting so many states. Although my area isn’t expecting any snow, winds will be the issue. There is a high wind watch in effect for tomorrow morning through tomorrow night and a blizzard warning for the U.P. Wind gusts up to 60 mph can be expected and the State Police are warning everyone that power outages are a real possibility, and they could last for a few days. Today is my son’s birthday and I’m so happy that it isn’t happening today since the kids will be home for dinner. I just hope that they get home okay tomorrow. My son and daughter both live in the Detroit area. Also I hope that we don’t lose power. The temperatures will be mild but that’s the only good thing about it.
Right now (10:15 AM), our temperature is 34°F (1°C), the humidity is 72% and winds are from the southeast at 7 mph. The wind chill is 25°F (-4°C). Visibility is 10 miles and the dew point is 25°F (-4°C). Skies are cloudy. The pressure is 30.02 in (1016.6 mb) and falling. Yesterday’s high was 37°F (3°C) and the overnight low was 24°F (-4°C). Averages for this date are 31°F / 17°F. Sunrise was at 7:22 AM and sunset will be at 6:18 PM.
