Cold, Light Snow In Mid Michigan

Cold, Light Snow In Mid Michigan

We have been getting a few flakes of snow intermittently throughout the morning but most on the ground is gone.  It’s a grey, dark day with temperatures barely above freezing.  There’s enough wind to drop the “feels like”  temps to uncomfortable levels, so not a nice day to be outdoors.  I have a Christmas Dinner at the hospital this afternoon which I’m attending with a friend that I worked with years ago  The hospital always invites retirees which is nice.

Our 1:15 PM temperature is 33°F (1°C), the humidity is 81% and winds are from the west at 14 mph, gusting to 21 mph.  That gives us a wind chill of 25°F (-4°C).  The pressure is 29.51 in (999.3 mb) and steady.   Visibility is 10 miles and the dew point is 31°F (-1°C).  Yesterday’s high was 38°F (3°C) and the overnight low was 34°F (1°C).  Averages for this date are 37°F / 25°F.  Sunrise was at 7:50 AM and sunset will be at 5:02 PM EST.
