Winter Has Returned To Mid Michigan
After all the rain and wind of yesterday, we woke to a world of white this morning. The forecast called for less than an inch of snow, but we received about 3 inches. We got 1.6 inches total in rain yesterday, and then another 0.34 of an inch in melted snow overnight, so I think that we have enough precipitation for awhile. It is still quite windy this morning making it feel much colder than it is, and it will not be a pleasant day to be out and about.
Our 10:30 AM temperature is 29°F (-2°C), the humidity is 86%, and skies are cloudy with light snow. Winds are from the WSW at 15 mph, gusting to 20 mph giving us a wind chill of 19°F (-7°C). The pressure is 29.62 in (1003.1 mb) and rising. Visibility is 10 miles and the dew point is 25°F (-4°C). Yesterday’s high was 48°F (9°C) and the overnight low was 27°F (-3°C). Averages for this date are 31°F / 17°F.
