A Little Freezing Mist To Start Our Saturday – Mid Michigan
We had a light covering of ice this morning on my deck when I let the dog out, but there was nothing in my rain gauge. I could feel a light mist on my face but nothing showing on the radar. It was just cold enough to freeze. Our highs for today should remain in the mid 30s, so it won’t be a real warm day but still above average. The extended forecast is calling for above average temperatures right up through mid January, so that’s much different than the Farmer’s Almanac predicted this past fall. We did have that freak snowstorm in early November which seemed to confirm the Almanac’s prognostication, but since then, we have had spring-like weather. It can stay this way all winter as far as I’m concerned.
Our 11:15 AM temperature is 31°F (-1°C), the humidity is 95%, and skies are overcast. Winds are from the northwest at 6 mph and the pressure is 30.03 in (1016.9 mb) and rising. Visibility is 10 miles. The wind chill is 26°F (-3°C) and the dew point is 29°F (-2°C). Yesterday’s high was 43°F (6°C) and the overnight low was 31°F (-1°C). Average temps for this date are 31°F / 21°F. Sunrise was at 8:07 AM and sunset will be at 5:15 PM.
